18 year old Joshua Parker went into the Shark Tank in episode 5 season 8 to pitch his line of gourmet syrup. Joshua has been making maple syrup for the last 7 years.
When Joshua was 11 years old he took a school field trip where he learned how to make his own maple syrup from trees. Amazing by the idea he went home and set up his own shack consisting of 2 posts, 2 trees, 3 tarps and a few pieces of plywood.
After 3 years of learning the process Joshua moved his operation into a proper building with coment floors and better equipment, but it still took 12 hours to make a gallon of maple syrup. Between 2013-2014 Joshua raised enough capital to take his maple syrup to the next level and start producing large volumes of his real maple syrup. 2015 was a great year for Joshua when he was invited on Glen Becks radio show to talk about his business and 6 months later was in over 500+ store nation wide.
