On the second episode of Shark Tank season 4 Mike Hartwick & Sarah Ponn were the first entrepreneur to step into the shark tank with their surf inspired exercise equipment.
Surfset Fitness consists of surf inspired fitness equipment and group classes. Featured in the show is the Rip surfer X, the worlds first total body surf trainer. This product is specially designed to duplicate the feeling of being on water. This allows you to practice surfing without ever getting in the water.
Mark was the first to jump in with an offer of $300k for 33%. Robert chimed in with a deal of $150k for 20% suggesting they keep more equity for themselves. Daymond offered $150k + manufacturing for 25%. Barbara tried to get into Marks deal but he didn’t want to cut her in and she went out. Mark lowered his take from 33% to 30%
PROPOSED DEAL: $150,000 for 10% stake.
