On the seventh episode of Shark Tank season 4 David Martschinske & Daniel Wood were the third entrepreneurs to step into the shark tank with their product SBU – Self Balancing Unicycle.
The hardest part about using a unicycle is that you have to keep peddling in order to keep your balance. The SBU (Self Balancing Unicycle) operates in a way similar to the Segway. It has smart sensors that will always keep you balanced. No peddling is required in order to balance the SBU. The SBU can reach speeds up to 15 miles per hour and travel 10 miles on a single charge.
Lori Greiner wasn’t passionate about the product and went out. Daymond John didn’t see himself being helpful in the deal. Mark Cuban didn’t like dealing with the manufacturing and went out. Robert Herjavec offered $300k for 33%. Kevin O’Leary jumped into that deal.
PROPOSED DEAL: $300,000 for 10% stake.
